Interesting details

maharmstone/ntfs2btrfs - Ntfs2btrfs is a tool which does in-place conversion of Microsoft’s NTFS filesystem to the open-source filesystem Btrfs, much as btrfs-convert does for ext2. The original image is saved as a reflink copy at image/ntfs.img, and if you want to keep the conversion you can delete this to free up space.

[About] - Hi! I’m Eric Wastl. I make Advent of Code. I hope you like it! I also made Vanilla JS, PHP Sadness, and lots of other things. You can find me on Twitter, Mastodon, and GitHub.

How I configure my Git identities - Note: I’ve had this post drafted for 3 YEARS!!! It’s finally time to publish it. So that ~/.config/git/personal is only included for git directories under ~/code and ~/.config/git/work is only included for directories under ~/work.

Word of the Year 2024 - This database is run and maintained by Macquarie Dictionary Publishers an imprint of Pan Macmillan Australia Pty Ltd, publishers of the Macquarie Dictionary.

Publishers Have Finally Said The Quiet Part Out Loud About Retro Games - In a recent move against the archiving of video game history, publishers have finally come clean on why they dislike retro games so much. The recent legal case regarding the archiving of video games, which was helpfully collated at Games Radar, is finally over.

The Opposite of Documentation is Superstition - Yes I know I’m technically on vacation but if I go too long without writing I die from a witch’s curse and I don’t want to work on longform projects For Reasons so here, have a newsletter post. I take a lot of handwritten notes.

Continue & Persist Letter - That’s why we created: The Continue and Persist Letter. A official-looking legal letter that encourages and uplifts people, one that tells people to keep doing what they’re doing! Surprise someone you appreciate by sending them a Continue and Persist Letter.

https://uvdata.arpansa.gov.au/xml/uvvalues.xml -

Both KDE and GNOME to offer official distros - KDE and GNOME have decided that because they’re not big and complicated enough already, they might work better if they have their own custom distributions underneath. What’s the worst that could happen? A talk from this year’s KDE conference, Akademy 2024, looks like it’s going to become real.

privastead/privastead - Privastead is a privacy-preserving home security camera solution that uses end-to-end encryption. It has three key benefits: The key advantage of the Privastead camera solution over existing home security camera solutions is that it provides strong privacy assurance using end-to-end encryption.
